Attestation of Power of Attorney /Proxy
If you are a Sri Lankan Citizen/ Dual Citizen at the time of the signing of the Power of Attorney/Proxy:
The Power of Attorney/Proxy will not be drafted by this office for you. You will have to prepare it by yourself/ by your lawyer, as per your requirement.
Witnesses of your signature on the Power of Attorney/ Proxy, or their nationality is NOT a requirement of this Office. If required as per the purpose of the Power of Attorney / Proxy, you are kindly requested to bring your own witnesses, at the time of the appointment.
However, the witnesses that accompany you have to prove their identity by providing a valid identification documents at the time of signing the document. (Ex: Valid Passport)
If you are an Australian citizen requiring a Sri Lankan Power of Attorney/Proxy attested by us, please follow the following steps:
Submit the Power of Attorney/Proxy authenticated by the APO to the Consulate General, in person (after obtaining an appointment through our website) OR via post.
Certify your Power of Attorney/Proxy through a registered Notary Public in Australia.

If you are a Sri Lankan Citizen/ Dual Citizen or Australian Citizen at the time of the submission of the application: you can submit your document/s by visiting us in person and proving that you are a beneficiary of EPF/ETF Sri Lanka.
You are required to obtain an appointment through the Melbourne’s office website slcgmel.org before visiting the office.
Applications will not be provided by this office. They only certify your signature and bio-metrics and return the documents to you on the same day.
Certification of documents for leave extension of Sri Lankan government employees
If you are a Sri Lankan Citizen at the time of the submission of the application: you can submit your document/s by visiting us in person.
You are required to obtain an appointment through Melbourne’s office website slcgmel.org prior visit the office.

You are required to obtain an appointment through website slcgmel.org prior to visiting them.
